Privacy Policy

We collect information only when you choose to provide it. Specifically:

When you book a rental

Your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, ZIP code, requested delivery and pickup dates, the package you select, and whether you consent to receive marketing email.

When you pay

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered directly with Stripe and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We retain only a Stripe customer reference, a payment reference, and the amount charged.

When you contact us

Your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), and the contents of your message.

When you inquire about our program for real estate professionals

Your name, brokerage, email address, phone number, approximate closings per month, how you heard about us, and the contents of your message.

When you join our email list

Your first name, email address, planned move date, and location. We add you to our marketing email list only if you affirmatively check the consent box. We never add you without your consent.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, time on page, general geographic region, device type, and referring source. We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure page performance.

Advertising attribution. If you arrive from an online ad or a campaign link, we store a first-party cookie named cc_track for 90 days. It records the campaign identifiers present in the link you clicked (such as gclid, fbclid, and utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign values) so that if you later book, we can tell which campaign brought you here. It does not track you across other websites.

Server logs and abuse prevention. Our servers record your IP address when you submit a form. We use it to rate-limit submissions and prevent spam and abuse.

We use the information above only to:

• Deliver, service, and pick up your rental, and communicate with you about it
• Process your payment and issue receipts or refunds
• Respond to your questions and inquiries
• Send you marketing email — only if you have affirmatively opted in
• Understand how the site is used and which campaigns are effective
• Prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with our legal obligations

We share personal information only with the service providers that operate our business, and only to the extent they need it to perform their function. Each is bound by its own contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety.

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being set. If you block cookies, the site will still work, but our ability to attribute a booking to the campaign that brought you here will be limited.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s browser opt-out add-on.

To stop receiving marketing email, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing message, or email us at hello@cherokeecrate.com. We will honor the request promptly. Note that we will still send you transactional messages about an active rental — booking confirmations, delivery notices, and pickup reminders — because those are necessary to perform the service you purchased.

You may request that we provide you with a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is inaccurate, or delete it. To make a request, email hello@cherokeecrate.com or call (470) 851-6059. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

California residents. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. As stated above, we do not sell personal information. You may exercise these rights using the contact details in this section.

Do Not Track.Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no industry-standard response to that signal, and our site does not currently respond to it. We disclose this because California law requires us to.

We keep rental and payment records for as long as needed to service the rental and meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations — generally seven years. Contact-form messages and inquiries are kept for up to two years. Marketing email records are kept until you unsubscribe. The cc_track attribution cookie expires 90 days after it is set.

The site is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor, and never reaches our servers. We limit access to personal information to those who need it to operate the business. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@cherokeecrate.com and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the business changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. If we make a material change to how we use your information, we will notify you by email if we hold your address.
